Gr. 6 Trees and Forest Unit Assessment Review
We are having an assessment on Monday December 9th, 2019.
1. Be able to identify and explain the function of the following parts of a tree:

2. Compare and contrast the characteristics and adaptations of deciduous and coniferous trees.
For practice, be able to identify the following common trees as being coniferous or deciduous:

3. Identify positive and negative human impacts on forests.
4. Identify and categorize leaf types, arrangements, shapes and margins, with the support of a guide and/or graph.
5. Infer events in a tree's life by looking at a cross section of a tree trunk (tree cookie).
6. Be able to use and explain the following important vocabulary:
