Leighton Art Centre


The Grade 5 and 6 community will be going to the Leighton Art Centre on Thursday, March 5th.  The Leighton Art Centre is located just out of Calgary and will include a nature walk for students to enjoy, a tour of the centre and its history and will enjoy creating an art piece for them to bring home.  The cost of this trip is $14.00.  Please bring a lunch and wear appropriate clothing for indoor and outdoor activities.   Click here or more information about the Leighton Art Centre.

St. Patrick's Info - Feb. 18


Tomorrow, Ms. Kristy's class will be spending all day at St. Patrick's island.  It is necessary for you to bring appropriate clothing in order to stay warm and happy throughout the whole day learning outside.  

You need: 
- to wear layers
- winter boots 
- snow pants
- warm winter jacket
- gloves 
- scarf/neck warmer
- warm winter hat

In need in your backpack
- backpack
- water bottle
- lunch & snacks
- visual journal & pencil 

We leave Connaught School at 9:00 am.  We begin to load the busses at St. Patrick's at 1:30, departing at 1:45.  We will be back to Connaught School at 2:15 p.m.

Elboya - Late French Immersion

Elboya School will be having an Open House on February 4th, 2020 from 7-8:30pm for students going into grade 7 next year.  There will be a Late French Immersion presentation at 7:30pm in the Small Gym.  We welcome all students and families who wish to see our school and know more about our programming.  The deadline for registering for the Late French Immersion program is February 12th, 2020.

National Geographic - Zoltan Takacs



On January 28th, the grade 5 & 6 community will attend a national geographic presentation to learn about the work of Zoltan Takacs.

Recorders

Students are now learning how to play the recorder in Music.  Ms. Kristy's and Mr. Foster's classes are expected to bring their recorder to school on Monday and Wednesday.  Ms. Anderson's class will need their recorders every Tuesday and Thursday.
