Join us for our Terry Fox Run October 4th @ 10:30
I Have a
Dream…
Terry Fox is
a Canadian Hero. He had a dream to run
across Canada in what he called The
Marathon of Hope with goals of creating cancer awareness and raising money
for cancer research. Connaught School is
proud to participate in the 2019 annual Terry Fox run on Friday, October 4th
at 10:30 a.m. Students have been preparing for this by learning about Terry Fox, his courage and his dream. Understanding perspective has been the focus of our activities.
All families
are welcome for our Terry Fox run day.
You can run/walk with us or cheer us on.
The more the merrier!
We encourage
students to donate a “Twoonie for Terry” or whatever is possible. Donations can be made at school or online at http://www.terryfox.ca/ConnaughtCommunity.
Students also
have an opportunity to start their own fundraising page by using the link above
and click “set up my student page” and follow the steps online.
Safety Patrols Training
Students who signed up for AMA Safety Patrols had their training session today. We will finalize schedules next week and hope to begin patrols Monday, September 30th.
